This is Cole's first Christmas. He stayed awake for the stockings, took a nap and then woke back up for the last few of the presents. He did pretty good getting tummy toys, balls, clothes, and other good boy toys. He chewed on a new car, looked in his mirror toy, played with the wrapping paper and spit up all over Daddy's sweat pants. Pretty much what we expected for a 4-month old.
Makaila actually didn't wake up earlier than normal. She ran out and checked if Santa ate his cookies and drank his hot chocolate. She was very excited to come and tell us that Santa had been here because he ate them. She was very patient for a 3-yr old as I made some cinnamon rolls during an opening intermission. Although the one sad thing was when she first looked at the tree and asked, "where's my skateboard?" Maybe next year. . . or not. . .
So it's not even 3:00 p.m. yet and we've opened presents, feasted on cinnamon rolls, Makaila has stamped pictures, played multiple games with Chad, played babies with me, tried out her new ball and bat set and taken a rest. And there is still computer software and new books to read later. What a day. It is fun to see Christmas through the eyes of your Children. Especially when they are entertained by things like$5 umbrellas and $3 yo-yo balls.Swank Kids
